Yau Lee Holdings Limited

Yau Lee Holdings Limited [The Group] was listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 1991. Based on a solid foundation of conventional construction experience, its subsidiary, Yau Lee Construction Company Limited, founded in 1958, had progressively developed as one of the leading and most experienced construction companies in Hong Kong. Subsequently, the Group has expanded its business into different areas in line with the market needs. Subsidiaries like Ming Hop Company Limited, Yau Lee Wah Concrete Precast Products Company Limited and VHSoft Technologies Company Limited were established in 1982, 1997 and 1998 respectively.

The Group has expanded its territory globally since 90’s. Under the recognition of the works receiving from different clients, the Group is progressive in strategic business developments started from China, Macau, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The Company's major businesses include building construction, maintenance, renovation, plumbing and drainage works, electrical and mechanical works, building materials supply, precast products manufacturing and trading, property development, hotel and property investment, IT solution and services, etc. The Group employs more than three thousands of employees worldwide.

Each subsidiary of the Group has its own scope of business and management culture. However, at the same time, each subsidiary collaborates its resources with other subsidiaries in order to boost up the working efficiency and achieve better cost-control.

The Group upholds an innovative and flexible operation, as well as a momentum of continuous improvement, in order to enhance the working efficiency and competitiveness, providing even more professional services and high quality products to the customers. Management

Mr. Wong Ip Kuen, BBS

is the Chairman of the Group. Mr. Wong has over 60 years of experience in the building construction industry of Hong Kong. He is responsible for the overall strategic development and management of the Group. Mr. Wong is the father of Ir. Wong Tin Cheung and Ms. Wong Wai Man.

Ir. Dr. Wong Tin Cheung, BBS, JP

Ir Dr Conrad Wong is a professional engineer who has over 30 years of building construction experience. He is the Vice Chairman of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, a listed company in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange(HKEX:0406), and a major building construction group engages in Hong Kong and China market.

Ir Dr Wong is responsible for the overall strategy formulation of the group, including overseeing business and technologies development. Ir Dr Wong has a particular passion for green building technologies, Building Information Modeling (BIM), modular and precast construction, and manufacturing automation. Under his leadership, Yau Lee Construction Co. Ltd. has successfully introduced the first concrete Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) in Hong Kong for a government quarter project. Since 2017, Ir Dr Wong has been putting a great deal of effort in developing various robotic and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for the construction industry.

Ir Dr Wong holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, Master of Science (Engineering) Degree in Foundation Engineering from the University of Birmingham, Master of Business Administration Degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Bachelor in Religious Sciences Degree from the Holy Spirit Seminary College of Theology & Philosophy. He is a Fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Chartered Institute of Building, the Institution of Civil Engineers (United Kingdom), the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling, and the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers. In October 2020, Ir Dr Wong completed his Doctor of Philosophy Degree at City University of Hong Kong. His speciality is adopting AI to optimize energy consumption for large scale central air conditioning system. Ir Dr Wong has also been appointed as the Adjunct Professor by the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.

Ir Dr Wong is very active in public and community services. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Council of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University, the Chairman of the New Energy Transport Fund Steering Committee, the President of the Hong Kong Modular Integrated Construction Manufacturer Association, the Deputy Chairman of the Energy Advisory Committee, the Member of the Trade and Industry Advisory Board and the Member of Green Technology and Finance Development Committe. In the past, Ir Dr Wong served as the Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Council, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the President of the Hong Kong Construction Association, the President of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations, the Chairman of Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board, the Deputy Chairman of Vocational Training Council, the Member of Construction Industry Council, the Member of the Antiquities Advisory Board, the Member of the Advisory Council on the Environment, the Member of the Town Planning Board, the Member of the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Chairman of the Awards Committee on the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence and the Director of the World Green Building Council.

Ir Dr Wong is a Roman Catholic and served as the Vice Chairman for Diocesan Youth Commission Hong Kong for six years and one of the founding members of Christ Youth Action, an NGO which focuses on Catholic youth ministry work in Hong Kong.

Ir Dr Wong was awarded the “2001 Hong Kong Outstanding Young Digi Persons Award” and the “Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2002” presented by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2009, he was conferred the Honorary Fellow by the Vocational Training Council and the Honorary Fellow by the University of Central Lancashire in recognition of his contributions in 2009. Recently, he was conferred the Honorary Fellow by the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing in 2022.

Ir Dr Wong was a Member of 10th and 11th Guizhou Province Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and he was appointed Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 2008 and awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (B.B.S.) by the Government of the HKSAR in the year of 2013 for recognition of his outstanding contributions made to Construction Industry.

Dr. Wong Rosana Wai Man, MH

Dr. Rosana Wong joined the group in 2003 and has since worked with different entities. She currently serves as Deputy Chair.

She is also Director of various companies which carry out primary business of the Group, namely Yau Lee Construction Company Limited, Yau Lee Wah Concrete Precast Products Company Limited, Yau Lee Hing Materials Manufacturing Limited, Yau Lee Curtain Wall and Steel Works Limited, REC Engineering Company Limited, REC Green Technologies Company Limited, REC Green Energy Solutions Company Limited, Yau Lee Hotel Limited, Yau Lee Innovative Technology Limited, VHSoft Technologies Company Limited, InnoVision Architects & Engineers Limited and Leena Theme Painting Limited; Founder & CEO of Global Virtual Design & Construction Limited; as well as the Managing Director of Yau Lee Infrastructure Company Limited and Yau Lee Construction (Macau) Company Limited.

Dr. Wong leads the Group’s integrated business sectors and plays a pivotal role in formulating overall strategic planning. With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, she oversees corporate business development, manages construction projects in Hong Kong, and drives the expansion into regional and international markets. She also steers the implementation of “Artificial Intelligence+”, construction digitalization, blockchain full lifecycle management, intelligent automation, agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Dr. Wong is driven by her passion for combining technology, innovation and science with sustainable ecosystem in Energy & Environmental Systems, Water Sustainability, Spatial Data Infrastructure, Nanotechnology & Digital Fabrication, Networks & Computing Systems, Cyber Security as well as E-health, Wellness & Biotechnology. Under her leadership, the Group has diversified its businesses to include building construction, IT solutions, MEP Services, architecture & engineering, energy optimization solutions, precast and low carbon building materials, curtain wall & steel works, along with investment, property and hotel development, establishing itself as an award-winning, forward-thinking and green corporation on a global scale.

Dr. Wong is also a Vice President of Smart City Consortium (the“SCC”), Chair of SCC’s Smart Living Committee, Deputy Director of China Green Building (Hong Kong) Council, Member of Sub-committee on Access of the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee of the Government of the HKSAR, Honorary Advisor of the Hong Kong PropTech Association, Council Member of The Better Hong Kong Foundation, Director and Fundraising Committee Chair of The Zonta Club of Kowloon, Director of Lumivoce, Member of the Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners, Council Member of the Orion Astropreneur Space Academy and its former Board Member and Honorary President of the Hong Kong Qingdao Association.

Dr. Wong holds a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours in Design from the De Montfort University, a Master Degree in Design from the Royal College of Art in the UK, and Executive Master Degree in Business Administration, Master Degree in Philosophy both awarded by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong, and an executive programme in technology from the Singularity University in the US.

Mr. Sun Chun Wai

earned a Bachelor Degree in Britain. He joined the Group in 1992 to manage the Group’s property development, construction works, manufacturing and supply of building materials, and development and marketing of computer software in Mainland China. Mr. Sun was appointed as an Executive Director of the Company in 1994 and is responsible for the Group’s business management and development in Mainland China.

Mr. Chan Bernard Charnwut

has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company since 2000. He is a graduate of Pomona College in California, USA and he holds the positions of Executive Director and President of Asia Financial Holdings Limited and Asia Insurance Company Limited. Mr. Chan is a Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China and the Convenor of the Non-Official Members of the Executive Council. He is Chairman of the Hong Kong Palace Museum Ltd., Chairman of the Committee on Reduction of Salt & Sugar in Food and the Steering Committee on Restored Landfill Revitalisation Funding Scheme. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, Chen Hsong Holdings Limited and China Resources Beer (Holdings) Limited, all of which are listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (“SEHK”). In addition, he is also an Advisor of the Bangkok Bank (China) Company Limited, the Chairman of Hong Kong-Thailand Business Council, the Chairperson of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and a Trustee of the Pomona College, California, USA.

Mr. Wu King Cheong

has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company since 1994. Mr. Wu is a Life Honorary Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Honorary Permanent President of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society and the Permanent Honorary President of the Hong Kong Securities Association Limited. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Henderson Land Development Company Limited, Henderson Investment Limited, Miramar Hotel and Investment Company, Limited and Hong Kong Ferry (Holdings) Company Limited, all of which are companies listed in Hong Kong.

Dr. Yeung Tsun Man Eric

has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company since 1993. Dr. Yeung is Director and Vice President of Perfekta Enterprises Limited, a toy manufacturing company. He holds directorships of companies in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, USA and Australia, which are engaged in electronics, trading and agricultural businesses. He was a Standing Committee Member of the National Committee, 10th, 11th and 12th session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, an Executive Committee Council Member of the Hong Kong Management Association, the Chairman of Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre, a Member of World Presidents’ Organisation. He was awarded the Medal of Merit by the Macau Government in 1994, Commander of the Order of Merit by the Government of Portugal in 1998, the Medal of Professional Merit by the Macau SAR Government in 2001 and Gold Lotus Medal of Honor by the Macau SAR Government in 2010. He is also listed in “The Marquis Who’s Who in the World” and “The International Who’s Who of Professionals”.

Mr. Yeung Tak Bun

appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 6 July 2023. Mr. Yeung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas (Austin), a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management of the University of Northwestern in conjunction with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Yeung served as the former Government Chief Information Officer, also was the Chief Corporate Development Officer at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. He has established Hong Kong Business Angel Network, Greater Bay Area International Information Technology Association and Institute of Big Data Governance. He has served on the boards and advisory committees of various associations/organizations, including the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong, Trade Development Council, YIDA Youth Innovation and Development Alliance etc. Mr. Yeung is currently an independent non-executive director of Lansen Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited which is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (“SEHK”).
