All roads on site are paved with hard paving to cover the soil surface underneath to prevent dust generation during site vehicles transportation.
Use automatic water spraying system and water spraying trucks to keep the surface of the site roads wet all the time to prevent dust generation.
Spray water continuously to concrete structure under demolition to prevent dust generation.
Enclose the whole building under demolition with layers of impermeable plastic sheets to guarantee no dust emission.
Erect sound barriers surrounding construction activities and plants in direction facing the noise sensitive areas to reduce noise emission.
Use low-noise emission saw cut method to cut the concrete structure under demolition into large pieces and directly remove them off site to shorten the demolition time.
Put noisy machinery in sound insulation enclosure to reduce noise emission.
Use site hoarding to reduce noise emission outside site boundary.
Use waste water treatment plant to treat contaminated water before discharge.
Remove silt and grit frequently by workers to prevent the blockage of the drainage system and the occurrence of flooding in heavy storm.
Cover the soil surface of slope with cement slurry to prevent soil being washed by rainwater into the drainage system.
Employ licensed collector to collect human sewage of moveable toilets regularly to maintain site hygiene in good condition.
Send water sample to external laboratory to test the quality of the treated wastewater to ensure its compliance with the requirements stated in the wastewater discharge license issued by Environmental Protection Department.
Implement “Turn off vehicles while idling” policy.
Provide waste sorting facilities on site to sort out useful materials for recycling.
Use energy efficiency lamp for site illumination to reduce electricity consumption.
Use solar system to supply hot water to workers’ shower rooms to save electricity consumption.
Use light sensor to control the on and off of pedestrian lighting automatically to save the unnecessary electricity consumption.
Green Life Style
Save Electricity

1. Switch off electrical appliances or switch them to energy-saving mode when not in use;

2. Use daylight instead of light bulbs for illumination as appropriate;

3. Use fans instead of air conditioners to reduce electricity consumption as appropriate;

4. Never use lighting or air-conditioning more than necessary;

5. Use curtain to reflect direct sunlight to lower room temperature as a mean to save electricity for air-conditioning;

6. Clean the filters regularly to increase the efficiency of air-conditioning system;

7. Reduce the use of lift by walking up and down the staircases as appropriate;

8. Stop some of the lifts beyond rush hours as appropriate.

Save Water

9. Adjust the water stop valve to restrict water flow rate;

10. Repair immediately once water leakage is found.

Reduce Waste

11. Dispose waste separately for recycling.

Life Well-Being
