Ms. Rosana Wong, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group, and the team welcomed and met with VIPs including Mr. Alfred Sit, Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr. Victor Lam, Government Chief Information Officer, Mr. Benjamin Chau, HKTDC Deputy Director, Hon Elizabeth Quat, Mr. Peter Yan, CEO of Hong Kong Cyberport, Ms. Alice So, Head of Entrepreneurship of Hong Kong Cyberport and Mr. Gary Yeung, President of the Smart City Consortium, etc on the first two days of the ICT Expo 2021. Ms. Wong, who is also the Vice President of Smart City Consortium and the Chairperson of Smart Living Committee, is committed to promoting smart city solutions and encouraging the Group to develop and adopt innovative construction technologies for Construction 2.0 and Industry 4.0, Modular Integration Construction (MiC), BEANiE – Blockchain enabled multifunctional platform. At the same time, she established Ophylla Ventures to support a series of smart city related startups and R&D. Some solutions are being exhibited in the Expo, for example, Zephy filter-free disinfection device, autonomous vehicle and 5G robots. Last but not least, Ms. Wong is also a Director of the Hong Kong Cyberport as well as a venture capitalist at the HKSTP. She hopes that the ICT Expo could promote the innovation and technology development in Hong Kong while the Hong Kong Cyberport and the HKSTP should explore deeper collaboration to complement each other’s strengths and jointly enhance the global competitiveness of Hong Kong's technological innovation and products, and ultimately become one of the leading R&D hubs in the world.
