Congratulate Ir Dr Conrad Wong, BBS, JP, Vice Chairman of Yau Lee Group, for receiving the HKICM Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of his extraordinary achievements in construction management and his contribution to the industry. Ir Dr Wong has been engaging in the construction industry for more than 30 years. He is committed to developing different types of construction robots and AI applications for the industry to enhance productivity, buildability, quality and safety. He also encourages the team to actively research and develop innovative construction technologies. In 2018, he proposed concrete Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) to Architectural Services Department and successfully launched Hong Kong’s first public works project, the Fire Services Department at Pak Shing Kok, Tseung Kwan O, adopting this method. Ir Dr Wong obtained a PhD from the City University of Hong Kong and his speciality is "adopting AI to optimize energy consumption for large scale central air conditioning system". He will continue to lead the Group to achieve further breakthroughs in green construction and bring sustainable contribution not only to the industry but Hong Kong as a whole.
