【The Good, Bad & Ugly of ChatGPT】
“CIC – See What You See”, organized by the Construction Industry Council (CIC), invited Charleston, Executive Director of MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node, to deliver a keynote presentation on 27/9. Charleston is also one of the directors at Cyberport. Rosana of Yau Lee Group thanks Thomas, CIC Chairman, for the invitation and attended the event as a former director of Cyberport to support Charleston.

Charleston shared about the good, bad and ugly of ChatGPT. ChatGPT is an AI chat machine progrmme developed by OpenAI. Its capability to handle a wide range of issues is the biggest breakthrough in the AI industry. A study has shown that using ChatGPT correctly can speed up the completion time of a task by 40% as well as improve the quality of the result by 18%. The ability to ask questions accurately (prompting) is actually the most critical. Charleston used the forum venue Hong Kong Club as an example to demonstrate how to ask questions correctly to make use of ChatGPT in the most effective way.

GPT has now developed into the fourth generation and is the most advanced Large Language Model. GPT-4 is described as a breakthrough in AI and no one really knows the full range of its capabilities. Everyone looks forward to embracing AI to generate better AI.

Rosana thanks Charleston for his very practical sharing and fully understood the meaning of “AI will not replace you. A person who’s using AI will replace you”. She will continue to take the initiative to deepen the application of AI and GPT in the Group towards enhanced competitiveness in all aspects.
