The High End Lecture on Carbon Neutrality, organized by the China Green Building and Carbon Neutral (Hong Kong) Council, was successfully held in Beijing on Oct 10 and 11. Rosana, Simon and Danzel of Yau Lee Group attended the lecture and learnt from the national carbon neutrality expert as well as engaged in discussions with other industry practitioners.

 

The lecture was hosted by Stephen Lau and Stephen Yim, co-director of the China Green Building and Carbon Neutral (Hong Kong) Council. It started with the speeches from Prof Wang Youwei, Chairman of Ching Green Building Council, and Mr. Liao Jiangling, Chairman of The Green Building Industry Alliance in Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and followed by keynote presentations from Prof Jiang Yi of Tsinghua University, Prof Qiu Baoxing, Vice Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of PRC, Prof Wu Zhiqiang of Tongji University and Prof Chen Xiangsheng of Shenzhen University.

 

The lecture focused on dual carbon targets, new energy and green lifestyle transformation, providing industry professionals with insights into the latest developments. The host also arranged two field visits, featuring tours of the prefabricated renovation project at No. 8 Huabichang Hutong and the Chinese National Stadium “Bird Nest”.

 

Rosana thanks Stephen Yim for the invitation. The lecture provided a valuable platform to understand the latest development in the national’s ecological civilization construction, including the accelerated establishment of the dual carbon policy system, ongoing optimization of the energy structure, and the promotion of new green and low-carbon industries. Rosana also thanks the China Green Building and Carbon Neutral (Hong Kong) Council for their trust in awarding the "2024 Dual Carbon Pioneer" honour certificate to the Group, recognizing our contribution to national’s carbon neutrality thought the construction of public housing in Hong Kong using MiC.
