The ArchSD Annual Dinner and Annual Award 2025 was held this evening (11/4) with the engaging theme of "The Flora Dream." This prestigious event was attended by the AECO community, including Rosana of Yau Lee Group and other team members including Patrick, Mag, and KW who gathered to support the ArchSD and celebrate the achievements within the industry.

 

Lai Wan Market, reconstructed by Yau Lee Construction, was presented a special award (social integration). The renovated Lai Wan Market features 30 stalls, showcasing a modern design that meets the demands of the local community. Utilizing MiC, the project was completed in just 10 months, significantly reducing the disruption to local residents during reconstruction. This innovative approach not only streamlined the process but also demonstrated the potential for efficient urban redevelopment. Meanwhile the project team actively consulted with tenants and residents ensuring that the renovations resonated with community sentiments and fostered a sense of belonging among residents.

 

The jury was particularly impressed by the project team's commitment to community engagement and the flexible use of MiC. This adaptability allows stalls to be relocated or reconfigured as needed, thereby facilitating ongoing maintenance and enhancing the market's sustainability.
