Groundbreaking Ceremony of Light Public Housing in Ma On Shan and at Five Vacant School Premises
The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Design and Construction of Light Public Housing at Hang Kwong Street, Ma On Shan and at Five Vacant School Premises was held this afternoon (11/8). This is one of the second batch of the Light Public Housing Projects and will provide approximately 1,452 housing units in a new site and transformation of five vacant school buildings.

As the main contractor, Yau Lee Construction is committed to designing and constructing 1117 habitable and 47 non-habitable MiC as well as converting schools into residential units ranging from 100 to 150 units in each school building. The overall design theme of this project is “Blissful and Colourful Life” and “Firefly” to promote a vibrant, wellness-oriented community. For example, the Ma On Shan Project aims to capture the spirit of Hong Kong’s thriving sports scene and inspire residents to lead active, fulfilling lifestyles by its sports-centric vision.

Rosana of Yau Lee Group expressed her gratitude to the project team for their collaborative efforts during the design stage. Our commitment to excellence in design and construction will help create sustainable living environments for future residents.

The groundbreaking marks the beginning of a transformative journey that will enhance the lives of many families. Yau Lee Construction looks forward to working closely with all stakeholders to bring this vision to fruition, ensuring that the project is completed on schedule and to the highest standards.
