Habitat for Humanity - Cambodian Delegation Visit
Habitat for Humanity has hosted a delegation from Cambodian Government this week regarding the HKSAR Government’s strategies for affordable housing. Rosana of Yau Lee Group was invited to join the Housing Roundtable on Jan 21 which provided a platform to exchange and share learnings and insights of Hong Kong’s housing strategies and innovations with Cambodia’s government departments and other related agencies. Prior to the discussion, the government official delivered a presentation on Hong Kong’s long-term housing strategy, housing ladder, transitional housing, light public housing and MiC. Participants then kicked start the discussion on policy, land, allocation & affordability, financing and delivery.

On the following day (Jan 22), the delegation visited Motto by Hilton Hong Kong SoHo where Rosana shared the Group’s experiences on MiC as well as construction digitalization, smart command theatre, AI & robotics, energy saving, sustainable building and smart living implementation, and followed by a hotel tour.

Today’s visit and discussion were very fruitful. Rosana was delighted to receive positive feedback from the delegation who expressed gratitude to our sharing and hopes that they could gain insights truly beneficial to their housing policy and ecosystem. She is also happy to see many NGOs focusing on housing cum living conditions and look forward to having more exchanges to build a better world where everyone has a decent place to live.
