Commencement Ceremony for the Design and Construction of Public Housing Development at Tung Chung Areas 114 and 117
The commencement ceremony for the Design and Construction of Public Housing Development at Tung Chung Areas 114 and 117 was successfully held yesterday (21/9). Mr. I.K. Wong, Conrad, and Rosana of Yau Lee Group, together with representatives from the Housing Authority (HA) and the Yau Lee Construction project team, attended the ceremony to witness this significant milestone.
The project will feature eight 30-storey residential blocks fully constructed using Modular Integrated Construction (MiC). It is expected to provide 5,288 residential units, utilizing approximately 19,218 MiC modules. Additionally, the project includes a 2-storey podium offering comprehensive community facilities, such as social welfare services, a kindergarten, retail shops, parking spaces, and public open space.
Fully utilizing patented MiC technology, this project is also the HA’s first to adopt MiC public corridors, effectively enhancing construction efficiency and site safety. By incorporating the concept of "Design for Well-being," the team is committed to creating a better and more holistic, livable community in Tung Chung New Town.
