A kick-off ceremony of the CIC’s first course on Common Data Environment (CDE) was held this morning. The first module of the master class was also launched immediately and Ms. Rosana Wong, Executive Director of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, has been invited to be one of the speakers for the first module. Ms. Wong shared the experiences of implementing CDE in the recent projects including a hotel re-engineering project, a redevelopment project under smart city concept as well as providing BIM consultancy services cum Asset Information Model (AIM) to Chemical Waste Treatment Centre. She has also illustrated the importance of striking for an optimal balance between technology transformation and commercial value.

 

Ms. Wong, as a member of CIC’s Committee on BIM, has also attended a network sharing session in the afternoon. Ar Prof Ada Fung, Chairperson of the Committee, shared Construction Digitalisation Roadmap and Charter which aim at achieving full adoption of BIM, CDE and Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS) for all HK$300M+ projects by 2026.
