【Fire Services Department’s Married Quarters at Pak Shing Kok is Hong Kong’s Construction 2.0 Pilot Project】
Fire Services Department’s Married Quarters at Pak Shing Kok is Hong Kong’s Construction 2.0 Pilot Project to firstly adopt concrete Modular Integrated Construction (MiC). This project was built with Yau Lee’s High Rise Concrete MiC System and consists of 3726 modules commonly known as “boxes” to provide Fire Services Department 5 quarters blocks with 16 to 17 residential storeys. Each floor is being made up of 8 units to provide 648 units in total.
By adopting the concept of “factory assembly followed by on-site installation”, MiC helps this project ease some of the current challenges faced by the local construction industry.
