The construction industry has been a male-dominated industry for a long time. Ms. Rosana Wong, the Executive Director of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, was invited by the Construction Industry Council to join Ar. Winnie Ho, the Director of Architectural Services Department and Ms. Agnes Pang, the Director of Drainage Services Department, to share their construction experience in the “Power Talk: Women in Construction". The sharing has made the public revisit the perspective of women in the construction industry.

 

As of now, female employees constitute 23% of the total workforce in Yau Lee Holdings Limited, which is higher than the government statistics for 11%. In addition, we have also nurtured a female Project Manager Ms. Sammi Chan who is the first woman achieved the Construction Manager of the Year Award from the Chartered Institute of Building in Hong Kong. These show that both men and women in the construction industry have huge opportunity for development.
