The "buildingSMART International Standards Summit" concludes on Thursday in Rome, Italy after 4 days of incredible agenda, with the closing plenary providing an opportunity to present the results of working groups and discuss initiatives that are already ongoing or will begin in the coming months. Rosana, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group as well as the Founder & CEO of Global Virtual Design and Construction Limited (GVDC), together with the delegates have explored various organisations' directions & projects in progress through this plenary which was hosted by Richard Kelly, Operations Director at buildingSMART International. Meanwhile, Jaan Saar, Head of Digital Construction, Ministry of Economic Affairs & Communications, Estonia shared their e-construction platform for consolidating Estonian BIM best practice, integrating general design standard and so forth.
In addition, the delegates have also visited Rilo Digital Planning, an engineering company in Rome characterized and modeled by the strong belief and practice of technological innovation, to learn more about the latest development of the local industry. The meeting gave a great opportunity for the delegates to broaden the international perspective and connections of the industry around the world to actualize the theme of the Summit – “Delivering a Diverse and Sustainable Future with openBIM”.
To sum up her participation in this Summit at Italy, Rosana thanks Ada, Chairperson of HKABAEIMA, for leading the HK delegation and is delighted to interact and communicate with so many international innovative technologies experts in these few days to learn more about the most recent advancement of openBIM in Europe. Finally, she hopes the collaboration between Yau Lee Group especially GVDC and global innovative experts and various stakeholders will further be strengthened for accelerating the rapid growth of OpenBIM, OpenData & construction digitalization in Hong Kong and the buildingSMART communities.
