Ying Wa Module Community is built with demountable concrete Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) to offer 140 residential units on a vacant site. In addition to the residential units, Yau Lee, as the main contractor and MiC manufacturer, will also provide greening works to integrate the Ying Wa Module Community with an open common space for the improvement of living environment of the people in need.

 

Ms. Rosana Wong, Executive Director of Yau Lee Holdings, says “there are 196 MiC modules (commonly known as ‘boxes’) in this project. Once the design and details are finalized, we will need only 4 months to complete, of which 2 months are for production, and another 2 months for onsite installation. The boxes we adopted are demountable concrete MiC, which means that they are reusable in other locations upon completion of the project.”
