On Tai Estate, the public rental housing development at Anderson Road Sites A&B Phases 1&2, was transformed from a barren quarry and built with a planning principle of the “Sustainable Community for Green and Healthy Living” to provide 7209 units with landscaped gardens and recreational spaces which offer an “Urban Oasis” to be enjoyed by the residents and visitors.

Housing Authority’s second project adopting Integrated Procurement Approach (IPA), a three-envelop tendering system which creates synergies from combinations of “Design-Tender- Build” and “Design and Build” modes to facilitate procurement of innovative ideas in promoting both holistic design solutions and environment-friendly construction methods

Connection to four existing estates, self-sustaining local provisions, links to future developments

Innovative construction methods include first adoption of 5D BIM in public housing development, Zero Irrigation System, structural soil and robotic application of external wall painting

40% of greenery is provided by vertical greenery, at-grading planting, green roof, etc. to expand urban greenery

Off-site prefabricated concrete volume reached 52%

Volumetric precast kitchens and bathrooms reached 88%

Concrete waste and carbon footprint reduced by 2.5 tonnes and 135 tonnes respectively by using on-site batching plant

More than 80% external site works were made from recycled materials
