The 1225th MiC modules of the Subsidised Sales Housing at Hung Shui Kiu Phase 1A was successfully hoisted and installed on Sep 15 morning. The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) has invited Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, Mr. Frankie Fung, Chief Assistant Secretary (Works) of Development Bureau, Mr. Walter Chan, Chairman of HKHS, and the board members, representatives from the Housing Authority and other guests to witness this remarkable milestone.

 

The ceremony started with an opening remarks by Mr. Walter Chan. Secretary Ho then delivered a keynote speech and Frankie, Director (Projects) of HKHS, introduced the project features. Afterwards, Secretary Ho, Mr. Frankie Fung, Mr. Walter Ma and Mr. James Chan, CEO of HKHS, officiated the kick-off of the hoisting and installation of the last MiC module under the witnesses of all guests.

 

Rosana of Yau Lee Group was blessed with the fine weather after nearly two weeks of adverse weather. This is undoubtedly an “experienced” project which can withstand typhoon No. 10, black rainstorm warning and even “extreme conditions” without any damage and water seepage because of the hard work and professionalism of the project team. In addition, this is also a record-breaking project with 4-day construction cycle, 75% manpower saving, 100% reusable standardized mould design and a specially designed MiC module combining a balcony into the living room, bringing a lot of breakthroughs to the project. Rosana hopes that the project can be completed as soon as possible to bring the residents a sustainable home within a beautiful eco-system.
