Opera Hong Kong held the Tosca Gala Dinner last night (4/10) to celebrate its 20th anniversary and wish Tosca a successful performance. Rosana of Yau Lee Group thanks Bosco of HPA and his wife Olivia for the invitation which offered her a great opportunity to enjoy a wonderful night with the world leading opera singers.
Tosca is one of the most popular and widely performed in operatic history. The brand-new production of Tosca by Opera Hong Kong will be directed by Vincent Boussard who is leading a talented international creative team from France and Belgium for the set, costume and lighting design.
Rosana believes that music is the universal language in the world. She was truly touched by the great performance done by the opera singers from different countries, in particular the good vibes and the passion of the improvise led by Mr. Warren Mok.
Rosana was also inspired by the Gala Dinner and hopes to build a “functional and cost effective” 21st century MiC opera house that integrates the culture of Hong Kong based on Yau Lee Group’s precast and MiC technologies developed and promoted in the past 30 years and the experience of manufacturing 5,800 MiC modules. The MiC opera house will also become an iconic landmark in Hong Kong as well as gather local, national and international performers in Hong Kong to have in-depth exchange. In addition, its “functional and cost effective” and exquisite design will also change the stereotyped position of opera as a posh artform as well as popularize it so that more people can enjoy it and their cultural sentiments can eventually cultivated and enhanced. Rosana hopes her dream would come true and looks forward to welcoming more children especially from “Tenacity Residence” and “James Concourse” as the guests of this MiC opera house!
