Themed by “Connecting the City with Geospatial Intelligence”, the HKIS Land Surveying Division Annual Conference 2023 was held today to demonstrate different showcases in utilizing geospatial intelligence to boost the connectivity locally and internationally, and discuss how geospatial intelligence can further contribute in connecting the city. In order to support Paul, Chairman of the Land Surveying Division, Rosana attended the conference and took this opportunity to connect with industry leaders for the latest updates on GIS development.

 

This conference features a rich programme including a keynote speech delivered by Mr. Liu Chun San, Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics, and sharing over 12 speakers. Geospatial intelligence describes the ability to collect, process and make decisions based on geospatial data which helps analyze demographics, transportation, weather, economic trends, etc. For example, Yau Lee Group has adopted geospatial intelligence in the latest residential development for for solar study as well as connectivity analysis to offer a better quality of life for the residents while Urban.Systems Company Limited has adopted the same for MobiPro autonomous vehicle in terms of HD map, localisation. perception, prediction and planning.
