“CIC Master Class on AI for Construction Kick-off Ceremony” has taken place at Zero Carbon Park this morning. Ms. Lillian Cheong, Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry, and Hon Duncan Chiu have been invited as Guests of Honour to deliver opening remarks while Ir Thomas Ho, Chairman of CIC, has given a welcome address. In addition, keynote speeches have been given by Prof. Zexiang Li from HKUST & Prof. Martin Fischer from the Stanford University respectively, and Ir Albert Cheng, Executive Director of CIC has given a closing remark. As a member of the Advisory Panel for CIC Master Class, Rosana, Executive Director of our Group, has been invited to attend this ceremony and received the certificate of appreciation from Lillian.

 

Since the industry is expected to be shorthanded by 10,000 people this year, our Group, according to Rosana, supports the implementation of CIC Master Class for AI talent investment in order to streamline various projects and organisations workflow of our industry. As CEO of GVDC, Rosana said that via our AI full lifecycle programme to be jointly provided by our Training Centre and Alicloud and other BIM related programmes including CIC-Certified BIM Manager (CCBM) and Coordinator (CCBC), our team will be upgraded & equipped with the latest knowledge & technique and young generation will be inspired and eager to join our industry. Therefore, the abovementioned issue shall further be addressed.

 

Most vitally, we will keep on strengthening and adopting innovative solutions including AI, BIM, MiC, MiMEP and Mi∞ to expedite our digital transformation comprehensively and join hands with different practitioners to facilitate the development of smart city in HK and eventually assist our Government in driving HK as international I&T centre.
