Ms Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, led Miss Rosanna Law, Permanent Secretary for Housing, Mr. Michael Li, Director of ArchSD, and the delegation to visit Yau Lee Wah Mega Plant in Huizhou yesterday (25/3) to understand the different innovative technologies and smart equipment adopted in manufacturing MiC modules, such as AI automated MiC mold production, automatic welding systems and automatic aluminium window sash production lines. Yau Lee Wah currently supplied over 90,000 nos of MiC and precast elements for ArchSD’s Chai Wan Government Complex and Vehicle Depot, HKHA’s first MiC public housing project Tung Chung Area 99 and Anderson Road Quarry Sites R2-5, etc. During the visit, Yau Lee Wah showed the aluminium windows of the public housing development at Long Bin Phase 1, lifting of MiC module of the public housing development at Kwu Tung North Area 19 Phases 1A and 1B as well as the last inspection check point before delivery of the MiC module of Chai Wan Government Complex and Vehicle Depot by BEANiE blockchain multifunctional platform.

 

Yau Lee Wah Mega Plant is well prepared for the two newly awarded HKHA projects (a total of more than 28,000 MiC modules). At that time, the annual production capacity will be increased by around 230%. We will also adopt BEANiE for MiC full lifecycle management to ensure high quality, just-in-time delivery and lean construction.
