National Center of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction Hong Kong Branch Inauguration Ceremony and International Symposium on Digital Transformation in Construction
The National Center of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction (NCTI-DC) has established the Hong Kong Branch at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), marking a significant milestone for Hong Kong in the innovation of digital construction management technology as well as promoting in-depth integration of industries, academia and research.
An inauguration ceremony was held this morning (23/10). Officiating guests included Academician Lieyun Ding, Chief Scientist of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction; Ms Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing; Ms Cheng Wu, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, and Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU. An international symposium, with an aim of leveraging collective expertise to drive industry development, was held right after the ceremony and will be continued tomorrow. Esteemed experts from around the world delivered / will delivery keynote speeches, exploring the latest advancements and future trends in digital transformation within the construction industry.
Rosana of Yau Lee Group thanks Prof Anthony Yeh and Prof Wilson Lu from the Faculty of Architecture, HKU for the invitation, which allowed her to take part in this meaningful opening ceremony and to gather with professors who she has known for a long time. Rosana hopes that NCTI-DC Hong Kong Branch can lead the industry, with the guidance and support of China, to address the various challenges currently faced by the construction industry and strengthen the smart construction and digital transformation in Hong Kong, and ultimately contribute to the motherland.
