IWF Cornerstone Conference in Hong Kong | Opening Reception
The 50th Anniversary IWF Cornerstone Conference is being held in Hong Kong from today (20/11) until Friday (22/11). The International Women’s Forum (IWF) was launched in New York in 1974 to gather women leaders from around the world and form a new women’s network that provides professional and personal support to aid each member’s success and inspire the women who follow. With 50 years of continuous growth, IWF has a presence in 33 nations across 6 continents through 76 IWF Forums.

Around 300 participants from over 40 IWF Forums are joining the conference in Hong Kong. The opening reception took place at the Palace Museum this evening. Rosana of Yau Lee Group, as a member of the organizing committee, joined the greeting line to welcome the guests with the red friendship bracelet and share the spirit of Hong Kong’s hospitality. The dress code included a touch of red, representing not only Chinese culture but also passion, love, and power. This complemented the performance program, which included Chinese opera pieces performed by children aged 5 to 8.

The conference will officially commence tomorrow with the presence of Financial Secretary Paul Chan as the guest of honor. The convergence of international commerce and culture in Hong Kong creates a vibrant and creative context for discussion. The plenary sessions will focus on issues particularly relevant to Hong Kong, including the movement of capital, the interdependence of supply chains, the example of aging societies in Asia, and how traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine can work together to create a healthier world. Stay tuned!
