The Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling (HKIBIM) hosted an exhibition “Crystal Vision: Digitizing Future Construction” at the Central Market today (7/12) to showcase the remarkable evolution of BIM over the past 15 years by featuring career trend sharing and invaluable insights from BIM professionals to deepen awareness and appreciation of this significant industry trend.

 

Rosana of Yau Lee Group, also an honorary fellow of the HKIBIM, was invited to attend the opening ceremony. Rosana is delighted to extend the warmest congratulations to the HKIBIM on the momentous occasion of its 15th Anniversary and thanks for its contribution in advancing the professional excellence towards the development of BIM as well as upholding the standards of building information management practice in the AECO industry to improve the built environment in Hong Kong.

 

Hosting the exhibition at the Central Market carries the extraordinary meaning to Rosana and our subsidiary GVDC. Since GVDC was firstly nominated as a BIM consultant in 2018 for this awarding winning revitalization works of the Central Market to lead the project team in the implementation of 5D BIM and laser scanning. With these technologies, the project team could accurately understand the original structure of the building and construction programme and cost, therefore, safety, buildability, innovation, productivity and quality of the project could be eventually enhanced. This can perfectly reflect the theme of the exhibition.
