Secretary Winnie Ho visited the construction site of Long Tin Court in Long Bin Phase 1
Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, visited the construction site of the Long Tin Court in Long Bin Phase 1 this morning (9/12) to support and provide guidance. IK Wong, Chairman of Yau Lee Group, together with Conrad, Vice Chairman, and Rosana, Deputy Chair, to welcome Secretary Ho and her team.
This project comprising of 3 residential buildings, including one 44-storey block and two 48-storey blocks, will provide 3,080 units with numerous facilities. It is expected to be completed in 2025.
To enhance the sense of belonging among the project team and workers, our Project Manager Nicky took the initiative to lead Site Agent Shan and the Safety Department in creating display boards showcasing the past, present and future of the construction site. This will not only help the team gain a better understanding of the project, but also provide a clear goal for everyone to work towards together. With our ESG policy, large tree originally located at the site has been preserved which offers a place for birds to take rest. Our project team also built a green wall to beautify the site. It is also worth mentioning that the site has received a gold award of the 30th Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme and Nicky has received the Model Project Leader Award this year.
During the visit, Secretary Winnie showcased her creativity in enhancing the well-being of residents as well as nearby pedestrians, e.g. different colours can be applied on the podium or other areas to allow them to enjoy a vibrant and colourful view whenever they look up. Lastly, Secretary Winnie encouraged the project team to seize every opportunity to expedite the completion of the project, enabling more public housing tenants to purchase home ownership flats as early as possible and facilitating the turnover of public housing to enhance the housing ladder and provide affordable housing units for the people in need.
