The Zonta Club of Kowloon (ZCK) Fundraising Music Gala 2025, titled "Wings of Hope - A Spring Symphony for Generations” concluded successfully last night (9/3) at the Xiqu Centre. As a chair of the fundraising committee, Rosana of Yau Lee Group joined Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, and Cecilia, President (2024-2026) of ZCK, to deliver opening remarks. Secretary Ho said women are like background music which can subtly enhance our daily lives, bringing joy, comfort, and sometimes encouraging messages.
Rosana expressed gratitude for the trust of the ZCK members, allowing her to serve again as chair of the fundraising committee. The event raised over 1.45 million in donations, marking a record high. In the current economic climate, she extended her heartfelt thanks to all sponsors and donors. Rosana also acknowledged the guest performers, including soprano Dr. Ying Ying Liu, pianists Phoebus Chan and Rachel Cheung, artists Rachel Kwok, Colette Lam, Carol Lin, Henry Ngan, and Albert Lim, erhu player Pik-sum Chan, cellist Cong Tan, and drummer Lawrence Tsui, along with the production team. Thanks to the digital backdrop created by our subsidiary GVDC, the audience enjoyed a perfect blend of classic and innovative performances. Notably, in order to highlight the ensemble of Chinese and Western musical instruments performed by Phoebus and his team, the dragon and phoenix pattern was chosen as a theme of the digital backdrop, symbolizing the irreplaceable elements of Chinese love culture and showcasing the harmony between men and women, implying that good fortune and ideal partners are divinely ordained.
Rosana hopes to continue Hong Kong’s unique “sister culture” mentioned by Secretary Ho, encouraging women to actively participate in social affairs, helping them discover and effectively utilize their potential to lead fulfilling lives.
