Visit to Kai Tak Sport Centre | Highlights Thoughtful Barrier-Free Facilities
As a member of the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, Rosana of Yau Lee Group visited the Kai Tak Sports Park (the “Park”) today (21/2) to study its impressive barrier-free facilities, which underscore the commitment to inclusivity in sports and recreation. The tour was led by Mr. Tang King Shing, Director (Strategic Planning) of the Park, along with representatives from Simon Kwan & Associates, who provided insightful information on the design and functionality of the Park’s features. The Park is designed with accessibility in mind, with all barrier-free facilities thoughtfully integrated to promote a welcoming environment for everyone.

Kai Tak Sports Park is Hong Kong’s largest sports venue, comprising three major hubs: a 50,000-seat main stadium, a 5,000-seat youth sports ground, and a 10,000-seat sports arena. During the visit, Mr. Tang shared some interesting trivia, such as the fact that the bar in the main stadium is the longest bar in Asia, and it takes 30 minutes to close the retractable roof, during which no audience are allowed. The Park is scheduled to be officially opened on March 1, 2025. Rosana thanks the project team of the Park for their forward-thinking approach to community development and hopes that individuals of all abilities can fully enjoy the Park.
