New Construction Opportunities in Northern Metropolis: Development Strategies and Insights for Contractors
The seminar on new construction opportunities in the Northern Metropolis, organized by the Hong Kong Registered Contractors Association (HKRCA), was held this afternoon at the Zero Carbon Park. This event attracted numerous industry experts and participants, providing an important platform for discussions about the future construction of the Northern Metropolis.

Rosana of Yau Lee Group was invited to participate in a panel discussion as a main contractor and a developer, alongside Hon Andrew Lam, Hon Adrian Ho and Dr. Davy Chan, Assistant Secretary (Works Policies) of DevB to exchange insights on “Building the Northern Metropolis Together: Opportunities and Collaboration for SMEs." It not only emphasized the importance of small and medium-sized contractors in the overall construction process but also highlighted the collaborative strategies they should adopt in the face of new opportunities.

The seminar began with a welcome speech from the organizers, followed by an opening address from the Guest of Honour, Mr. Vic Yau, Director of Northern Metropolis Co-ordination Office of DevB. Subsequently, Ms. Fiona Liu, Head of Planning & Development Team, delivered a keynote speech detailing the development blueprint for the Northern Metropolis, covering planning, construction, and future development directions.

As the largest development project since the handover, the Northern Metropolis holds profound significance for enhancing Hong Kong's economic competitiveness and regional cooperation. Rosana believes that both large enterprises and SMEs should strive for self-improvement, seize this opportunity, and actively engage in collaboration with the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, companies should focus on ESG to enhance their competitiveness and ensure they maintain a pioneer position in future markets.
