The CIC Global AI and Smart Construction Conference and Exhibition (GASCCE) is being held on June 24 and 25. It provides a collaborative platform for exchanging insights and shaping the future of the built environment in the context of AI, robotics, and low-altitude economy (LAE) technologies.
Dr. Rosana Wong of Yau Lee Group joined the grand opening ceremony and Day 1 conference today. The ceremony began with a welcome speech by Thomas, CIC Chairman, and an opening address by Ms. Bernadette Linn, Secretary for Development. The CIC AI Award Presentation Ceremony was also held to recognize outstanding contributions in applying AI-powered solutions.
Out of 258 submissions, Rosana is delighted to received two awards:

AI Adoption (Project – Building/Infrastructure Lifecycle) - Silver: Motto by Hilton Hong Kong SoHo (Yau Lee Holdings Limited)

AI Adoption (Research – Total Lifecycle Management) - Silver: Autonomous Twin for Hotel Energy Optimisation (HKU’s Joint Lab on Future Cities)
Motto by Hilton Hong Kong SoHo utilizes AI for a full-lifecycle digital ecosystem, optimizing energy via an IoT autonomous twin, a Smart Command Theatre, DfMA dynamic façade, and guest experiences via the LIVVY app and Concordia platform.
Representing HKU’s Joint Lab on Future Cities, Rosana’s published journal titled “Improving Energy Efficiency in Hotels Through Evolutionary Digital Twin Technology” with Prof. Becky Loo’s guidance, demonstrating how digital twins and machine learning enable smart, energy-efficient building management.
These awards showcase end-to-end AI integration, driving momentum toward a smarter, greener built environment.
