【Superstructure Works for MiC Housing Development at Hung Shui Kiu Phase 1A Kick-off Ceremony】
The Kick-off Ceremony of Superstructure Works for MiC Housing Development at Hung Shui Kiu Phase 1A, constructing by Yau Lee Construction (YLC), has been held at this morning. Mr. James Chan, CEO of the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS), and his management team including Mr. Frankie Yeung, Director, Mr. Franco Cheung, Assistant Director, and Mr. Gordon Tse, General Manager, together with Ir Dr Conrad Wong, our Vice Chairman, Ms. Rosana Wong, our Executive Director and Ir Richard Lee, General Manager of YLC have attended the ceremony.
HKHS was invited by The Government of HKSAR to develop the Dedicated Rehousing Estate at Hung Shui Kiu New Development Area, and Phase 1A will be constructed by YLC. This project consists of 27 stories to provide 300 subsidised sale flats while 25 stories with 1,225 MiC boxes to be built by concrete MiC. With an estimated completion date in 2024, it is expected to become the tallest concrete MiC building cum the 1st one with balcony in HK.
In this project, we will adopt various innovative technologies, including the first and the latest version of blockchain multifunctional platform - BEANiE 3.0 (Enterprise version) in HK and a series of 5G Robots developed in HKSTP to save 50% of manpower, enhance the construction safety, productivity and buildability as well as contribute to HK’s housing strategy. Additionally, our Group will continue to collaborate with different stakeholders to drive sustainable development for keeping strong momentum on the road to smart city and net zero, the ultimate goal of the “Climate Action Plan 2050” in HK.
