【Alibaba Cloud Summit Hong Kong 2022】
With the theme of "Sustainable Innovation", the “Alibaba Cloud Summit Hong Kong 2022” has been held at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong this afternoon to bring industry leaders, technology experts and like-minded innovators together on an excitement experience, talking about everything from cloud computing, digital intelligence, cutting edge technologies to business innovation. Ms. Lillian Cheong, Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, was invited to be the guest of honour.

Without a doubt, both cloud technology as well as data intelligence are essential in promoting smart mobility. Ms. Rosana Wong, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group cum Founder and President of Ophylla Ventures (OV), together with Mr. Michael Law, Assistant Commissioner of the Transport Department, and various industry leaders, has been invited as the guest speaker at the “Panel Discussion - Driving Hong Kong Smart City through Smart Mobility” in this Summit. Rosana offered insightful sharing on our MobiPro, the first MaaS (Mobility as a Service) autonomous shuttle in the HKSTP, which is developed by Urban.Systems under OV. According to Rosana, MobiPro supports the latest vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology as well as 5G connectivity, and will soon be available for trial to strengthen the transportation system in HK and reduce carbon emissions by 87%. Since HK is back, Rosana encourages different stakeholders to listen to each other for further collaboration with a view to reinforcing our advantages.

In the meantime, Alibaba Cloud announced the launch of the "Alibaba Cloud Talent Program Hong Kong" in cooperation with universities as well as training institutions including Global Virtual Design & Construction Limited (GVDC) Training Centre, wholly owned by Yau Lee Group. Regarding this collaboration, the course of “AI Full Building Life Cycle Management” and so on will be provided by the GVDC Training Centre. Rosana, Founder and CEO of GVDC, believes this can contribute to build a local pool of innovative technology professionals while satisfying industry demands in HK. Accordingly, Hong Kong's competitiveness in innovative technologies will be boosted further.
