Rosana Wong, Executive Director of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, was invited by Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations (HKABAEIMA) to serve as a panelist for HKABAEIMA Member’s Dialogue Event: Opportunities for Development of Digital Twin for Smart City to discuss two topics, “What’s the meaning and requirement of digital twin for smart city” and “How to collaborate and develop our information exchange centre”.

 

Ms. Wong has shared the Group’s second hotel development as an example. The hotel is still the world’s greenest hotel achieved 4 highest level of green certificates as well as the Group’s first 5D BIM project. Combined with facility management platform and Intelligent Building Management Systems (iBMS), a unique CDE was set up to collect, manage and disseminate data and project information throughout the project lifecycle.

 

In addition, Ms. Wong thinks that OpenBIM, OpenData, OpenSource and OpenPlatform are very important. Together with City Information Modeling (CIM) and Information Exchange Centre (IxC) will be the future trend which not only enables us to build faster, enhance safety, buildability and quality but also strengthen Hong Kong’s positioning to have a better chance of leading the industry again. The construction industry shall shine through being together as a whole community for the betterment of Hong Kong.
