Organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and Cyberport, the Digital Economy Summit (DES) is being held at the HKCEC for two consecutive days starting today. DES, with the theme of “Emerging with Resilience: Fostering a Smarter Future”, attracted many local and overseas government officials and industry leaders to attend.

 

Rosana, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group, has also participated in the Opening Ceremony and the Networking Luncheon. At the ceremony, Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, delivered a welcome speech, and followed by Opening Remarks by CE John Lee, Ms. Shumin Cao, Deputy Director of Cyberspace Administration of China, and Mr .Dong Chen, Deputy Director, The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR.

 

Rosana could not stay for the entire luncheon but rushed to the “So French So Innovative” organized by the Business France at InnoEX with a theme of “France in the game – Sustainable development for the Cities of Tomorrow”. Mrs. Christile Drulhe, Consul General of France in HK & Macau, has given the Kick-off Remarks and Mr. Tony Wong, Government Chief Information Officer (Acting), has delivered keynote speech.

 

As a Vice President of the Smart City Consortium (SCC), Rosana once again served as a moderator this year to lead different panelists for the discussion of “Construction and Urban Planning Towards Durability” in terms of construction digitalization, smart city, green finance, bio-based materials, low-carbon concrete, energy saving solutions as well as waste management, and urge all stakeholders to work together to create a sustainable future.

 

After the forum, Rosana visited the SCC Smart Living Pavilion at InnoEX and the booths of DES to cheer for the teams. We have a total of three exhibition areas, namely:

1. InnoEX (iC-full) – BEANiE, Hong Kong’s first blockchain multifunctional platform

2. DES (GVDC) – a full range of Virtual Design and Construction training courses, from BIM, AI full lifecycle management to exclusive coaching

3. DES (iC-full) – smart mobility, AI robots, NFT and Metaverse
