Tenacity Residence is the first concrete demountable MiC social housing project providing large units in Hong Kong. 140 units were completed (from production, assembly to flat in take) less than a year to solve the immediate living problem for grassroots families who are waiting for public rental housing.

 

The occupants start receiving keys of the unit today. They are very happy for the new living environment and look forward to living in harmony with their neighbours. They believed that transitional housing could improve their quality of life as well as to alleviate their rental pressure.

 

Ms. Rosana Wong, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group, has also witnessed the flat in-take and deeply touched by the heartfelt joy of the occupants. One of the occupants is a middle-aged woman who lives alone. Although the road of her life is not smooth, she never gives up and always be strong and self-reliant. She is very grateful for her new home and wishes to keep contributing to the society. Another child is currently living in a small room that can’t even accommodate a writing desk. When he learnt that he could have his own desk after moving into Tenacity Residence, he is very happy and promises to study hard to build a bigger house for his family.
