【REC Engineering Company Limited|Nansha Qingsheng and Conghua Hong Kong Jockey Club Training Centre cum Racecourse Stand Projects in Guangzhou】
After the CIC Delegation Visit, Rosana and Simon, Executive Directors of Yau Lee Group, inspected a REC’s site at Nansha Qingsheng to ensure the progress and quality of the project. Qingsheng Station is the intersection of the high-speed rail and the subway line directly to Guangzhou city. It only takes about 20 minutes to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The world’s and China’s largest hospital of traditional Chinese medicine and the Guangzhou campus of the HKUST will also be built in Qingsheng which form an important base for the development of innovation and technology in Nansha, Guangzhou. They have then visited REC’s Guangzhou office to meet with the department heads to listen their opinions, reviewed work performance and discussed relevant arrangements to make better preparation for the next 6 months. She also shared the Group’s development strategy for 2024.
Rosana invited the team to have a celebration dinner for a newly awarded professional subcontract of providing integrated electromechanical system for the Hong Kong Jockey Club Training Centre cum Racecourse Stand in Guangzhou with the trust from the client based on REC’s solid experience and outstanding performance in Hong Kong, China, Macau and Singapore. The Stand has a total construction area of 96,000 sqm. Its unique steel structure is shaped like a saddle. After completion, it will accommodate 9,500 audiences. The Group and REC attach great importance to this special project and relocated staff from Shanghai to Guangzhou to start the preparatory work once awarded. REC team will also adopt BIM in all aspects. Rosana is very confident in the teamwork between Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai, and hopes that the team will seize the opportunity to exchange ideas on technical aspects and innovative technologies as well as strengthening the technologies in MiMEP and DfMA. The synergistic effect will definitely facilitate the goal of “enhancing quantity, speed, efficiency and quality”.
