The council meeting of the Hong Kong Qingdao Association was held last night. Rosana, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group, attended as a Honorary President with the presence of Mr. Peter Liu, Chairman, Mrs. Liu and other council members. After the meeting, Mr. Yuon Fuk Lung, the “Extraordinary Principal” of the Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College, was invited to share his teaching philosophy.

 

Principal Yuon transformed a non-mainstream secondary school in Tai O into a place full of love with the positive energy inspired by "affection in education". Principal Yuon uses his unique way of teaching the students and encourage them to show their strengths. Respecting students always comes first which makes them feel that they have not been neglected. All students can persist in beliefs that are right, enter the workforce and give back to the society. At the same time, he suggested parents to believe in their children who can do better than themselves and walk with them.

 

Rosana was deeply touched by Principal Yuon’s philosophy and how he walks the talk to actualise the spirit of teaching without distinction and devote himself to cultivating the next generation.
