【Asian Smart Cities Network and Digital Twin 2023 Symposium | Hong Kong Future Urban Living】
Co-organized by the China Green Building (HK) Council (CGBC (HK)) and the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), the “Asian Smart Cities Network and Digital Twin 2023 Symposium” has been held under the theme of “Hong Kong Future Urban Living” at CityU today. Rosana, Executive Director of Yau Lee Group, attended as the Vice President of CGBC (HK) to support the symposium with Benny, CTO of GVDC.
 
After the welcoming speech delivered by Prof. Jin Yeu Tsou from the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, CityU cum President of CGBC(HK), numerous keynote lectures have been conducted by world-leading experts, including Prof Dimitri Mavris and Prof Gulsah Akar of the Georgia Institute of Technology on Digital Twin Systems Design for Smart Cities and Sustainable Mobility for Ageing Population, Dr Akito Murayama of the University of Tokyo on Planning Methodology for Climate Solutions in Smart Cities, in which he carried out a Thermal Environment Simulation in Nagoya City and found that the temperature of the surrounding area could be reduced by 4°C after installing an awning. In addition, representatives from the Civil Engineering and Development Department and the Drainage Services Department also shared the Hong Kong government's roadmap on digitisation and digital twin. Last but not least, Prof Thomas Ng, Head of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, CityU concluded the morning session by hosting a panel discussion.
 
Rosana has interacted with the experts to learn about the successful experiences and share the application of Digital Twin in Hong Kong. She also encourages our team to utilize the government's Open Data so as to maximize the advantages of Digital Twin and incorporate with our latest solutions like AI, blockchain and autonomous driving to support potential mega projects in Hing Kong such as the Northern Metropolis and Kau Yi Chau Artificial Islands. Consequently, we can accomplish our ESG and SDGs while shaping quality urban and smart living for Hong Kong.
