【The buildingSMART International Standards Summit | A Diverse and Sustainable Future with openBIM】
Ar Ada Fung, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations (HKABAEIMA), is leading a delegation to join the buildingSMART International Standards Summit in Rome, Italy from Monday to Thursday. The theme of the Summit is “A Diverse and Sustainable Future with openBIM. Yau Lee Group has always fully supported the development of openBIM and construction digitalisation, our Executive Director Rosana therefore joins Ada, together with some government official from the Housing Department, Buildings Department, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, Water Supplies Department, Fire Services Department and other industry practitioners in this international event and all of them have arrived from yesterday (26/3).
Highlights of the first day include the opening sharing by Patrick MacLeamy, Chairman of the buildingSMART, Aidan Mercer, Marketing Director, Lorenzo Nissim, President of Institute for BIM Italy, and Anna Moreno, President of buildingSMART Italy. Afterwards, a group of speakers exchanged and discussed different topics such as digital twin and open twin, and Ada, Chairperson of the HKABAEIMA, also participated in one “all-woman” panel discussion.
Rosana is delighted to participate in the Summit with numerous government officials and industry practitioners and she said that openBIM and open data are vital for the construction industry, which not only enables us to build faster, enhance safety, buildability and quality, but also strengthen Hong Kong’s positioning to lead the industry again.
