Leading by Mr. Sunny Choi, Chair of the HKIS QS Division, the delegation has visited the precast and MiC plant of YLW, a subsidiary of Yau Lee Group, in Huizhou today. Simon, Executive Director, together with Eric, Commercial Director, and Gary, GM of YLW, were also there to demonstrate how MiC can tackle the challenges of labour shortages while enhancing efficiency and safety as well as minimizing construction wastes and carbon emissions.
QS sector is always dedicated to developing and strengthening its profession. In the meantime, the Group is committed to collaborating with all practitioners to support “Construction 2.0” and “Industry 4.0” initiated by our Government, and therefore make this visit happen to enable HKIS members to learn more about the latest knowledge of MiC design, production and QA/QC monitoring, as well as its smart automated production lines and AI robotics. Benny, Chief Technology Officer of GVDC, further demonstrated how BEANiE, Hong Kong’s first blockchain multifunctional platform, perform full lifecycle management of the MiC production.
Sunny concluded that the visit allowed HKIS members to further realize the advantages of adopting MiC and understand Yau Lee’s vision of delivering high-quality and smart housing. We welcome more professional bodies to visit the plant to enhance the confidence of all these innovative technologies which complement each other from the perspective of sustainable development.
