Show Flat Visit cum Press Conference for the Transitional Housing Project at Sheung On Street, Chai Wan was held by the Society for Community Organization (SoCO) today. Patrick, GM (Building Renovation Division) of Yau Lee Construction Co Ltd, together with Ms. Sze from SoCO and Sam from Nelson Chen Architects Limited, introduced the project features and application details to the reporters. Residents in sub-divided flats were also invited to share their current living conditions.

After the completion of the project, 103 units will be provided to benefit about 210 people. Each unit has an independent bathroom and an open cooking space, with large windows to ensure good ventilation and lighting. Basic decoration and safety equipment such as clothes racks, water heaters, and floors are also provided.

 

Yau Lee Group is very honored to be able to participate in constructing transitional housing projects which is very meaningful to provide affordable and suitable housing for grassroots who are waiting for public housing for a long time and facing housing pressure. Sheung On Street Project is the first transitional housing on Hong Kong Island. By using MiC - precast components made offsite and assemble on site, the construction time can be greatly shortened. The project team also adopted a rigorous project management approach to ensure the progress and the quality. We are committed to assisting the government in solving the housing challenges and improving the quality of life for the the most needy in our community.
