Rosana, Executive Director of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, attended The HKIE Grand Award Presentation this afternoon. Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, was invited as the Guest of Honour to deliver a speech and present the awards.

 

Subsequently, Rosana was also invited to be one of the speakers at the HKIE International Conference, together with Ir. Michael Fong, Director of CEDD, and Henry, Deputy GM of China Communications Construction Company, shared the insights on smart building and construction.

 

Ir Fong mentioned that the CEDD is actively planning and implementing a number of large scale development projects, including the Northern Metropolis Development Strategy, Sustainable Lantau and Kau Yi Chau Artificial Islands, etc., to provide diversified land use and develop a third CBD. Such a work-live-play CBD will bring a large quantity of quality public spaces as well as enhancing Hong Kong's competitiveness.

 

In line with the government's long-term goals, Rosana pointed out that Yau Lee Group has integrated SDGs and ESG elements into its development guidelines as early as 2015, and upgraded from Common Good to Social Good through digitalization of the construction industry. When SDG 17 are achieved and the value of "Unity of Nature and Humanity" is practiced at the same time, the company will naturally achieve profitable growth. Finally, Rosana expects to have synergy with the practitioners to help Hong Kong achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 as well as the sustainable development of the world.
