As a Vice President of the Smart City Consortium (SCC), Rosana of Yau Lee Group attended the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM) Summit this morning. The Summit gathered over 1000 guests including government officials, industry experts, business leaders and academia representatives to explore the opportunities that technology advancement will bring along and share the recent industry updates.
Alan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, LSCM, firstly delivered a welcome speech and Mr. C Y Leung, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, then delivered an opening speech via video conference to kick off the Summit. This was followed by a special remark delivered by Ms. Mable Chan, Permanent Secretary for Transport & Logistics. Each speaker then shared their insights on different topics for instance digital transformation of the logistics and supply chain industry, smart logistic system, big data, AI and Internet of Things.
Rosana is glad to attend the Summit and discuss the development of smart logistics, smart mobility and smart living in Hong Kong with other guests. In recent years, the deep integration of the transport and logistics industry with technologies has made production more efficient and daily life more convenient. For example, it takes about 1.5 hours from Yau Lee Wah Huizhou Factory to our office in Kowloon Bay via Liantang Port with only 4 traffic lights along the way, and about 40 mins and 20 mins from REC engineering (Guangzhou) office near Nansha and Qingsheng Railway Station to West Kowloon Station. These allow a closer collaboration between colleagues stationing in different locations. Rosana hopes that the SCC would continue to facilitate the government and the industry in terms of innovative technologies to strengthen and enhance the importance of Hong Kong’s smart logistics to the development of the Greater Bay Area, and further integrate into the its transportation network to form a closer one-hour living circle.
