A team led by Thomas, Chairman of the CIC, and Michael, Director of Architectural Services, visited Chai Wan Government Complex and Vehicle Depot this morning (4/7). They attended a safety assembly and joined the morning workout to strengthen the promotion of site safety. After the assembly, they conducted a site walk to learn more about our site supervision and monitoring procedures. Yau Lee Construction has widely adopted the latest Smart Site Safety System (4S) solutions, jointly developed by the subsidiaries of Yau Lee Group, in this project, for instance, BEANiE as a centralised management platform for real time monitoring, digitalised tracking system, Safety Rangers AI robots for unsafe acts/ dangerous situations alert in tower crane lifting and mobile plant operating zones, etc. In fact, we have proactively adopted these safety measures before the 4S requirements enforced by the DevB in February 2023 to improve site safety and more importantly, prevent any possible incidents.
Chai Wan Government Complex and Vehicle Depot adopted DfMA and it also provides the first precast inclined circular ramp in Hong Kong. The development will be used for reprovisioning the existing facilities and providing additional facilities for five government departments, namely the Hong Kong Police Force, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, the Government Logistics Department and the Government Laboratory upon completion.
