HKIS Awards 2024 - Surveying for a Sustainable Future
The Award Presentation Ceremony cum Dinner of the HKIS Awards 2024 was held this evening (12/7). With the theme “Surveying for a Sustainable Future”, the Awards aim to celebrate outstanding achievements in development projects that prioritise sustainability and contribute to a greener and more eco-friendly environment as well as highlight the important role of surveyors in sustainable development to encourage more sustainable practices in the industry towards a more sustainable future for Hong Kong. Yau Lee Group is glad that Ying Wa Street Transitional Housing, built by Yau Lee Construction, was selected as a finalist of Construction (Building) Category and the Central Market where our subsidiary GVDC acted as a BIM Consultant has received a Merit under Pre-construction category.

Prior to the Ceremony, Rosana of Yau Lee joined the official Bastille Day reception which took place at the HKCEC in the presence of Ms. Christile Drulhe, the Consul General of France, and Mr. Paul Chan, Financial Secretary. The spotlight remains on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games which will be held soon and it aims to be the most sustainable Olympics ever by setting new standards in sustainability by pledging to achieve carbon neutrality, reduce waste and enhance biodiversity.

Rosana believes that sustainability needs everyone to participate, from individual to community, no matter a small-sized company, a corporation, a city or a country. All we need is to work together to co-create a genuinely sustainable and innovative future for our next generations.
