The Smart Site Safety System (4S) Labelling Scheme, jointly launched by the DevB and CIC in May 2024, has already received over 350 applications and 110 applications were successfully approved in the first phase including one of our construction sites at Chai Wan Government Complex and Vehicle Depot. Rosana of Yau Lee Group has received the plagues during the presentation ceremony today (29/7).

Ir Ricky Lau, Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), was invited to deliver a welcome address. He pointed out that implementing the 4S labelling Scheme is a long and challenging task, it is just a starting point for these 110 sites who should regularly review their 4S solutions in accordance with the actual progress. He emphasized that “there is always a better solution”. Furthermore, Ir Lau also stated that 4S is a key to construction safety. The Government will continue to promote a safety culture and he hopes that the 4S Labelling Scheme will become a standard requirement for all construction sites and even a brand that represents Hong Kong’s construction industry. Thomas, the Chairman of the CIC, also made an appeal through his closing remarks, calling on all construction sites to quickly adopt the 4S Labelling Scheme. He stated that top management should also conduct on-site inspections personally, to ensure the effective use of the 4S solutions.
