Ir Allen Yeung, Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress, was invited to serve as a speaker for “CIC – See What I See” Luncheon Talk on Quality Productive Forces on Smart Construction. Prior to his sharing, Thomas, Chairman of the CIC, delivered an opening speech about the relationship between productivity and ESG, for instance, applications of AI and BIM can lead an enhanced ESG.

 

During the presentation, Allen shared his insights on how the construction industry in Hong Kong can leverage the concept of new quality productive forces initiated by President Xi despite the industry is now facing different challenges. Smart construction is the only way to accelerate the concept with its high technology, efficiency and quality through digitalization, AI & innovation and modern industrialization. In addition, building robust data infrastructure can further enhance construction quality and productivity to unlock new opportunities for the industry and lead to the holistic development of Hong Kong.

 

After the panel discussion and Q&A session, Victor, Under Secretary for Housing, delivered a closing remarks to conclude the luncheon talk.
