【Ground Breaking Ceremony | SoCO’s Transitional Housing Project at Sheung On Street】
Operating by SoCO and constructing by Yau Lee, the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Transitional Housing Project at Sheung On Street, Chai Wan has been taken place this morning. Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, Mr. Victor Tai, Under Secretary for Housing, Mr. Simon Chan, Eastern District Officer; representatives from SoCO include Mr. Andrew Lam, Mr. Simon Fok, Mr. Lawrence Tang and Ms. L S Sze: together with our Chairman Mr. I K Wong, Conrad, Rosana have been served as guests of honor.
 
This project is the first new-built transitional housing in HK Island. It will adopt MiC technology to provide a modular block of four storeys with 103 units for approximately 210 residents. All units are equipped with a bathroom, toilet and a cooking area for each unit.
 
Yau Lee Group has always attached great importance to Corporate Social Responsibility, and we are hence committed to supporting transitional housing projects. This project is another incredible collaboration between SoCO and our Group after the successful one at the Tenacity Residence, Ying Wa Street. Rosana mentioned that Yau Lee Group is dedicated to providing better living environment by optimising construction technologies including MiC. According to the previous projects, MiC projects can generally reduce 40% man-hours, 60% labor, 45% construction waste and 25% carbon emissions.
 
Last but not least, Rosana would also like to thank the Bank of East Asia for providing green loans for our project again. In the new year, our Group will continue the collaboration with different stakeholders and strengthen ESG implementation to achieve sustainable development.
