CIC BIM Competition 2025
To enhance the practical application of BIM through a collaborative and competitive learning experience, the CIC has hosted its annual BIM Competition since 2019.

The theme of this year’s competition is to challenge the participant's creativity and innovation in the design of existing building of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction - Tai Po Training Ground into a “NextGen Construction Centre”. The proposed building must embody cutting-edge design principles that reflect innovation and functionality tailored for the construction industry. Architectural elements should blend modern aesthetics with practical utility, showcasing advanced technologies relevant to construction training including robotics and drone applications.

Rosana from Yau Lee Group returned as a judge for the competition and expressed her appreciation for all participants, noting their dedication and effort in applying BIM techniques. The quality of their work made it challenging for the judges to select a winner.

After careful deliberation, the team "S&R" emerged as the champion with a proposal that beautifully integrates functionality and aesthetics. The 1st runner-up is “Blueprint Creator” and three 2nd runner-up winners - “SH GOBLIN”, “G2a”, and “BIM缘人”. Rosana was impressed by the exceptional performance of the winning teams and encouraged all students to pursue careers in the industry, contributing to the profession.
