ULI HK Event: Re-Imagining the Building Code #4 – Focus on Construction Tech and the Code
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hong Kong held its fourth event in the Re-Imagining the Building Code series, titled “Construction Tech and the Code” this evening (18/9). The event featured an engaging discussion among academia and industry leaders exploring the latest trends in construction technology and material innovations.
 
Rosana of Yau Lee Group was invited to join this dynamic panel with Ulrich Kirchhoff (HKU), Fai Au (HKU), Andrew Lau (Colliers) and Vimal Karpe (IXO Partners). Rosana opened the discussion by emphasizing the significance of MiC and detailed how blockchain and AI applications are revolutionizing prefabrication and construction processes. Rosana also shared strategies for overcoming the lifecycle of technologies adopted, in particular being innovated by illustrating the development journey of autonomous vehicle as an example.
 
The event successfully brought together industry experts to discuss the intersection of technology and sustainability in construction. Participants left with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as the industry continues to evolve.
