Rosana of Yau Lee Group served as a guest lecturer, invited by Dr. Daniel Chun, Vice President and Chairman of Research and Blueprint Committee of Smart City Consortium, for the EMIA1901 Introduction to Smart City Development course at the HKUST’s Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies this afternoon (3/11). Her engaging session captivated students as she explored the transformative potential of innovative technologies in shaping the cities of tomorrow.

 

Rosana delved into a variety of cutting-edge topics, including MiC, AI & Robotics, Construction Digitalisation with a focus on BIM, blockchain for full lifecycle management, digital twins & autonomous twins, smart command theatre and City Information Modeling, which offer groundbreaking approaches to urban planning and management.,

Rosana also highlighted new frontiers in the realm of smart cities, such as green finance, tokenization, IP, and the burgeoning space economy. Her insights into these topics not only informed students about the current trends but also inspired them to think creatively about future possibilities.

 

Rosana enjoyed the time thoroughly with the students since their enthusiasm and curiosity about smart city development invigorated the discussion. She is excited to explore all the possibilities with these young minds to navigate the future of urban living together.
